Mops At Second Byron Church
If you're a mother of young children,
you have your hands full
and we know exactly how you feel!
What is MOPS?
MOPS is a place that gets moms! It stands for Mothers Of PreSchoolers.
MOPS International has been involved in ministering to moms of preschoolers since 1973 and exists to meet the needs of every mom - urban, suburban, and rural moms; stay-at-home and working moms; teen, single, and married moms; moms with different lifestyles who all share a similar desire to be the very best moms they can be! For more information about MOPS International see
www.mops.org
What happens at a MOPS meeting?
You will have a chance to enjoy a warm breakfast (without cutting up anyone's food but your own!), socialize with other moms, hear some great speakers, have discussion time and participate in creative activities and crafts. We understand your unique needs, challenges, and joys in this vital season of early mothering. You will be welcomed in our MOPS group just as you are! Lots of laughter and encouragement guaranteed.
Do you have to be a member of Second Byron Church to join?
Nope. MOPS at Second Byron Church is open to any mom who has any children meeting the age criteria, from expecting first-time mothers through mothers of children in kindergarten (6yrs. old).
What does MOPS provide for my children?
During our MOPS meetings, your children will be cared for in a program called MOPPETS. Children younger than two enjoy a full nursery while older children enjoy a Bible story, supervised crafts, activities, and playtime.
When does MOPS meet at Second Byron Church?
MOPS at Second Byron Church meets the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month from 9:15-11:15am. Our first meeting will be September 20th, 2011 and we will run through the 3rd Tuesday in May.
Is there a cost?

This fee will register you with MOPS International and entitles you to many free items from MOPS as well as a year subscription to the MomSense magazine. The MOPS meeting dues are $35 ($5 per meeting) for the first semester which runs through December, for a total of $58.95 due upon registration at the first meeting.
